Runtime Error For ZTABLE

I added one field to the ztable then i changed the name of that field..and activated it..

When i want to see the contents in the ztable its going to dump....

when i used database utility and try to use option : activate and adjust database..it shows activated succesfully..but when i goto option : database object ---> check..it gives

"Database object for YYY_VBRK is inconsistent: (Fields) "

"Inconsistencies between the database object and the runtime object of the table were found when you checked the database object for the table to be converted. You therefore cannot correctly access the database table. You cannot convert the table in this status.."

it is still showing the previous name of the field in the database..but the runtime object is showing the present name of the field?

how to remove the inconsistencies?

do u have a tmg associated if yes regenarate it after activate and adjust

NO .. I doesnt have table maintenance generator to it...

Even though I'm using option..forced conversion its not activating?

how to proceed ?

Hi,

You can try SE14->Activate and Adjust Database. Hopefully it will solve your problem.

I have tried that option.. se14..it will adjust only runtime object..the database object should also be adjusted and activated..

Hi ,

Check the field which you are adding and the associated data element .

Also you can try deleting the element from the table and activating it .

Then again add your new field and once again try adjusing the data base .

It would probably work fine.

is that field a key field if yes u cant change it

no its not a key field..now i changed back the name of the field ti the old one and activated it..

now i'm able 2 c the contents..its not going to dump..

but there is still database object inconsistency..i need to remove the inconsistencies from the table....

use check option in se14 for both databse object and runtime object and tell what messages its giving

HI,

Select the changed field,

Menu > Utilities > Runtime Object > Check

It will show if any inconsistencies, do as it sujjests

I have checked it before..

my runtime object has no inconsistencies..

but database object says " Database Object for ztable is inconsistent.( fields) ".

my table has around 3500 records and i cant delete it....

is there any other way to remove the inconsistencies?
