Some question about 'BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1'

Hi experts,

Now I want to use 'BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1' to create customer master data.But I found this BAPI seems have many defects.

1. Whether the customer number can be externally provided by user?

2.In this BAPI function, It seems that we only can maintain 'General Data'(PI_PERSONALDATA) and 'Company Code Data'(PI_COMPANYDATA).I want to know whether can maintain related 'Sales Area Data' ?If yes, how to implement it?

3.Whether the field of PI_COPYREFERENCE-REF_CUSTMR(Reference customer) is required? Whether can create a customer without PI_COPYREFERENCE-REF_CUSTMR(Reference customer) ?

No....the customer number can be assigned internally only ..

I found All the questions you raise about this BAPI interesting and relevant till today. its 2009 !

and none of the answers can be found in the documentation of the same.

Dis you find a way to create/update customer without giving a ref customer?
