how to compare variant(Version compare)

Hi Experters,

Can you tell me how to compare variant between DEV and QA system?

I find the transaction variant in my DEV system is a little different from QA system,

so I want to compare them, but there are too many fields..

so can you tell me how to compare them ? is there any easy way to do it?

Versions>Version Management>Remote comparison>Give Target system name and RFC destination name.

And you may create RFC destionation from SM59

Hi, in which tr-code ?

In tr-code: shd0, there is no version compare here. I think.

I don't think you can do the remote comparison for transaction variant. But you can check in both clients table E070 and E071 table what is the latest transport.

If I cann't compare them by remote mode,

is there ay easy way to compare them and how to know is there any differecnce between the two system and what the differenct is.

Sorry earlier i did't read thread carefully.

I think there is no way to compare the Changes(TR) in between two system for Transaction variants.

But since we can do limited work with transaction variants only like

W. content  Output only Invisible   Required

So you can choose the first screen variant in Dev and same in PRD,see both in Detail (Not display) and compare,and see where the changes are.

The same process would be repeated for all screen variants,which are assigned to perticuler transaction variant.
