Hello,

Question

I want to do the following from an ABAP report/object or function module:

- Call an external web application X with paratemers Z and Y.

Is this possible and if so can someone just shortly explain how (you dont have to give details if its alot.)

Background

There is a web application that can generate some business intelligent report.

Instead of users actually login into that system and manually typing in the the query parameters Z and Y they want a button in a SAP transaction that will automatically launch this web application X and pass the parameters Z and Y from SAP transaction they are in.

This will make this process automatic instead of them doing:

1. Go to url of web application

2. Login with username/ pasword

3. Write query parameters Z and Y they see on SAP transaction

4. View result.

PS0

I read some threads regarding calling java webservices so it seems there should be some kind of way of achieving this but couldnt figure out how from those threads.

Use function module CALL_BROWSER and then pass the url and then use html code to connect to sap and then pass the code to the z program and use the connection parameter open and close to send the values and also use submit to get the parameters with GET/ SET properties.
