cursor position in the screen

how to retain the cursor position on the field..when i press enter after entering values in the screen field..the cursor is going back to the first field/ how to retain it?

Hi Anil Kalive,

Use SET CURSOR in PBO event... as per your requirement

Have a look on below thread for example and documentation... also have a look on ABAP Keyword doc..

hi,

Use SET CURSOR.

but if you are using validation on the field

USE

AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON <fieldname>.

The cursor will be only that field if the entry is invalid or wrong

but when it is in table control of a screen..should i write set/get inside loop?

no, you have to code:

SET CURSOR name_of_field LINES line_number.

(as I suggested just read the Help of the statmenet, everything is explained clearly)
