Variable column length in a table control.

Hii,

My requirement is that i need a Variable text box where in i can write some text which needs to be saved in to a database table.

Here the No of characters and no of lines of that text box should be variable. So i went for a table control and i can have variable lines using the field Lines in the table control structure, for variable length also we have a field vislength which can be used for variable length .

problem is i am unable to use this fields VISLENGTH Can any one help me how to use this field.

hi,,,,,

For Vislength go to the layout editor of your screen, double click on field you want to modify and in the attributes screen just set the vis-length as much you want that will be variable...

Vis.lenght is in the screen cannot be a variable so this doesnt work.

WE can use the Visible length variable in the screen field to make the visible length in table contol
