How to create a table inside a table in the dictionary

I need to create a table in the dictionary that one of the components has to be a table.

Someone known how to do it.

I don't think it would be possible, you can create two tables with foreign key relationship.

I don't think it would be possible to create a nested table in data dictionary. You can create a structure inside a table but structures as such do not hold data independently. Even with pool or cluster tables in the data base there is single table with many data dictionary entity.

Hi Daniel,

It is not possible to have a table inside a table in the database, But you can go with the logical database, you can create a logical database in the required format and later you can use that inyour program.

You can include a structure in a table. Or a complete table in another table.

You can append a include structure inside the table and define the additional fields in the include structure.

U cannot create a table inside another table.

The data storage is not supported in that manner.

If you need multiple fileds based on a single line entry then , first figure out the relationships between these tables.

Then create a second table with a part of the primary key as the first and a unquie primary key to be defined for adding all the rest of the entries in the second table.

Also maintain the foreign key relationships between these tables.

This is the way to have multiple entries for a single line of a table entry.

As for my knowledge we can create structure in dictionary, not the tables.

Hi,

This is impossible to include or create a TABLE insdie another TABLE, but you can solve this to include at max nine nested structure in the table using INCLUDE or can append the structures in the table. This will result in adding some more fields in the already defined TABLE.

you cannot create a table inside a table.

you can use foriegn key relationship instead.

otherwise you can include a structure inside a table using .include statement.

its not possible 2 use nested tables instead u can use a structure with .include<structure name> statement
