    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Welcome to SDN,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What is the version of SAPGUI you are using. i guess it should be atleast was6.40 patch 10&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if you dont have the right SAPGUI, you can download the one available in SDN/download area along with NW2004s ABAP sneakpreview. the new editor works with this version of SAPGUI&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;by the way, the path for enabling the new editor you mentioned is the right one.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Raja&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am searching for the new abap editor.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I checked other posts in this forum, which described &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the following way via transaction SE38 or SE80.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;utilities-&amp;gt;settings-&amp;gt;ABAP editor&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and choosing the option front-end editor(new).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I just got the two options front-end editor(old) and&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;backend editor. How can I activate the new editor?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are running netweaver 2004s.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thx a lot.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Markus&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hai markus,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am not sure whether it was there in patch 10, but i upgraded to patch14 and activated the new editor from&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;se38-&amp;gt;utilities-&amp;gt;settings-&amp;gt;ABAP editor&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;here choose radiobutton front-end Editor (New)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;warning:- dont apply gui patch 15 it has got some problem. when i applied patch 15 i couldnt event start the sap logon pad.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Srikanth.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello again,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;problem was that the patchlevel of sapgui was&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;too low - after upgrading it, i got the option&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;to choose the new abap editor.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thx for helping&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Markus&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
