Hi,

I would like to connect to SAP from an external Visual Basic with an RFC call using the logon group feature. When my call reaches the message server I receive this error message:

T:2544 ======> Please logon with a dialog user

T:2544 <* RfcReceive [1] : returns 3:RFC_SYS_EXCEPTION

The ID used for the RFC is a CPIC ID, so I don't understand why I need a Dialog ID?

Could somebody tell me the answer?

Thanks in advance!

to connect to SAP from external server you need to have dedicated logon credintials. Contact ur Basis consultant for the same. Then use those details in ur RFC call.
