File Upload to Application Server

Hi,

Can some one knows the transaction (other then CG3Z) to upload a file to Application server. As destination file path is quite long and this transaction is not allowing it.

I think that is only the standard transaction available for this.

But you can always change the destination file path as per your wish.

Actually path is OK, but file name is quite long. Is there any way i can change the file name, after uploading to the application server?

i am not sure if any other transaction exists. may be u can goto se93 type al* and hit a f4 to see the transaction

coz i know al11 is used to view files on application server so thr must be one for upload also

tcode: sxda_tools

first select screen: fill with whatever, doesn't mind, but you have to fill with something

second selection screen: don't fill

then hit copy

a selection screen will popup:

in source, check radio button presentation server and select the file from your hd,

in target, select radio button application server, file type P, and define the target file name along with the path on the app server,

and your ready to go.
