EDI Problem : Outbound IDocs not creating

Hello EDI Experts,

I have a situation. I have 6 inbound IDocs in status 64 : Ready to be transmitted to application. For all the trading partners in the above 6 IDocs, condition records were already maintained. When i executed the program RBDAPP01, 6 sales orders were created successfully, but outbound 855 was created for the first two sales orders only. 4 outbound 855 IDocs were not created at all, why is it so??

Hi,

Check if there were any user exits written for Idoc generation. This cud be reason why some idocs get failed during generation for SO. It could be that the SO may not have the necessary data for Idoc generation and user wants to prevent such idocs being transmitted.

Goto to the messages in the SO that did not tigger idoc and see the error message or ask the developer under conditions the idocs will fail during generation.

No user exits were written. All are standard IDocs. So could you please explain what would resolve this issue.

This should not be anything to do with Inbound IDOCs.

Go to your sales order, and check Output determination Analysis there. It might tell you why those Outputs were not generated.

If the Outputs were generated. but the IDOCs were not passed, then its a diferent issue than above.

Hi MxG,

For the Output type i am using 'BA00', multiple issue is denied. when i go to change sales order, check the header output conditions, there is not output over there.

When i manually propose output and do determine analysis,

BA00 502 Output ignored (requirement 002 not fulfilled)

I don't understand what this means.

I tried processing 11 inbound IDocs that ready to be transferred to application, in status 64. using program - BD20 or RBDAPP01.

8 sales orders were created , 3 errored out.

Out of the 8 sales orders, on;y two 855's (order confirmation) were created.

For all the trading partners involved in the sales order, the condition records were maintained.

I still don't understand what's wrong with it.

Could you please explain me?

so you have the answer, there is an output requirement 002 which is tied to your output, and which is stopping your output. As it is configured that way it should be the desired way.

I guess you are fine, you can check the requirement with your functional person or check that in VOFM

I understood, But i checked the sales orders, all are complete. I checked the log also. I don't understand why the requirement 002 was not fulfilled for some sales orders and it was fulfilled for rest of the sales orders.

The Requirement 002 was assigned just to check to see that the document is complete and there is no delivery block before proposing output.

All the sales orders look OK for me. According to theory it should propose output for all the sales orders.

Could you please explain me what's wrong with this?

You need to set the breakpoint in req 002 and go into these order outputs to see whats happenign there. as 002 is standard SAP, I dont think there is any code issue there, but there should be some data issue in these orders. In debugging you can see where and why the reqmt 002 is setting sy-subrc = 0.
