regarding reports migration

hi all,

am having big confusion..i want to migrate some reports in FI from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 system..please guided me in this...how it is possible.they given me program names...both are diffrent servers..they will run differently...but we want to transfer the programs...mostly reports and function modules...is there concept there to transfer..

create a transport request in the source system and start to save the programs into it:

R3TR PROG Z...

this will take the programs, text elements, screen, GUI statuses, ... so far so good.

now you have to check for all Z... objects which are used by the above programs, but are not there in the target system. for example: function module ==> you have to transprt the whole function group:

R3TR FUGR Z...

include programs (pls. note, they are not tranpsorted automatically with the main program):

R3TR PROG Z...

tables:

R3TR TABL Z...

data elements

R3TR DTEL Z...

domains:

R3TR DOMA Z...

the list can be still continued...

hi eric,

they created transport request for me...and i want to download the programs and if i need to create any z objects like domain dataelement or tables right???and one more thing how can we for functional modules

don't do download, just save everything into the transport request manually as I described above!

sorry manually how can we save from tat system to this...i have 4.7 system and ecc 6.0 system...how can we sav e..please tell me in detail...if poss give me an example please.......

Ask your BASIS to try re-transporting all the existing transports for the programs from 4.7 to ECC 6.0. We were originally told that this was not possble but it has been done here.

In the source (4.7) system:

-Start transaction SE01

-Enter the transport number (you got from Basis) and hit enter

-Double click on the task (the lower object of the transport request)

-Go to change mode

-Start to enter the objects which you need (see my very first reply)

-Don't forget to save...

When it is done, release the request and and ask Basis to import into the target system (6.0)

this might work, but... if a transport contains objects A and B, but B is not needed in 6.0 (whatever reason), only A, than you cannot go this way. On the other hand, if all required transport can be identified easily, than it could be a nice way.

sorry they given the package name only..in tat i have to transfer all the programs.i dinyt get any transport requests....could you please in me some more detail...please

in ECC there is no data available to test also.....they are doing configuration now....

To create transport request: Start transaction SE01 and click on Create, it should be "Transport of copies"...

does it mean that you have to transport each single object which are in this package? if yes, when you display the transport request, click on the request (once) and push "Control + F11" (=include objects), select "Freely selected objects" and add the name of the package and press F8...

ya it showing the selected freely objects and enter option is copy...where we can add the package name please...if u have any example pls send me eric....

when you select "Freely selected objects" and press enter, after that a selection screen appears, where the first line is for package (at least in my system), here you have to enter the package name and press F8
