1. im trying to insert record into infotype 0005 using HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA

CALL FUNCTION 'DEQUEUE_EPPRELE'

infty = '0005'.

But process failed when input screen required Q0005-UANSP to be update, but seem FM failed to pass value from PROPOSED_VALUES from P0005-UAN01.

Please kindly adv how to avoid this problem. appreciate any help.

2. I Notice that CALL FUNCTION 'DEQUEUE_EPPRELE' is not working properly even return code as '0'. because when i try to execute BDC process , it mention to me that PREL table still lock.

what actually happen for this ? appreciate any help.

3. Can we use ROLLBACK after HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA return as error?

4. what is COMMIT WORK AND WAIT for? is it useful during FM HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA?

is it related with LUW_MODE parameter?

Dear Rudy,

you can use BAPI_EMPLOYEE_ENQUEUE and BAPI_EMPLOYEE_DEQUEUE also.

this will lock the Employee.

Just try HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION for updating the I0005.

i did try it using BAPI , its not working. its still lock when UNLOCK (view using SM12 while debug).

is this something got to do with COMMIT WORK AND WAIT.?
