PGI in background

Dear All,

When doing PGI in background through transaction VL06O, it is putting current date against Actual GI Date.

I want to restrict this by giving an error message on whenever the actual GI date is less than the Document date.

Kindly suggest on how to proceed.

Hi,

When performing a PGI the delivery exits should be invoked. I would suggest using an exit such as USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE(MV50AFZ1) and checking the indicator V50AGL-WARENAUSGANG. This will tell you if PGI is taking place.

You can then check your conditions and issue a message to the log using the provided routines e.g.

PERFORM message_handling(sapmv50a) USING '000000'  "indicates header or give it an item
                              <message_number>
                              <message_type>
                              <message_variable_1>
                              <message_variable_2>
                              <message_variable_3>
                              <message_variable_4>.

You should also familiarise yourself with OSS note 415716 on how the delivery UE work if not already done so.
