Hi all,

I have a description linked to one field. ineed to pick up the description when i select this field automatically just like short description in data element.How can this be achieved?

Is it not possible to use sa\earch help for that field?

Your question is not clear enough. Let me know in which scenario you are looking for the description.

Hi all,

i have two fields.

one of which has a code and the other has a description in the same table.

now i have made this code as a check field for another field in another table, but when i select this code in the other table i need to get the description also automatically. i am using table maintenance generator.How can this be achieved?

Always use proper subject line. you can try with the Events of the Table maintenance. you can try with the event 21 and populate those fields(you need to select the correct data using the relation).

in the previous post only you mention the Table maintenance. you should have mentioned all the details in the Beginning to avoid confusion.

But how do i use my select statement inside this form routine. it says that the statement is not accessible.
