I want fetch the record from BSEG using function module

Hello everybody i want fetch record from BSEG table

BSEG is the cluster table .

when i used select query to fetch record it's take lot's of time to excute select query .

_i want is their any alternatives or any function module is available to fetch the record from BSEG table_ .

so that we can reduce our performance time .

Hi u can check this FM..


GET_ALL_BSEG                   Retrieval of all line items found by SET_ALL_BSEG
READ_BSEG                      Direct read operation of the line item
SET_ALL_BSEG                   Select all line items for a document

But i would suggest not to use this FMs...

Try to pass values for all the primary key fields of BSEG....

It will improve the performance....

Hi,

A select on BSEG will take the same amount of time in a function module.

The only way to improve the performance is to try and access the data via a transparent table, such as, BSID, BSAD, BSIK, BSAK, BSIS, BSAS. You can, if necessary, create secondary indexes for these tables.

It is better to fetch the records directly from the transparent tables involved in the cluster table BSEG. Please check the below link for more information.

Try using other tables first, before going to BSEG.

Fetch data as per your requirements from,

BSIS

BSAK

BSIK

BSAD

BSID

this may improve ur performance.

if you still need it from bseg, then try to go to bseg with primary keys, it may reduce time.
