bapi_acc_gl_posting_post :Cant view the document posted

Hi all,

I have been trying to use standard BAPI bapi_acc_gl_posting_post to post G/L docs.

I have entered the required data in all the tables of the BAPI,

I get the message the data posted succesfully but when I go to FB03 transaction, I cannot see the document posted.

Only by running this BAPI can I post G/L docs....does it work indepently?

Check the GL balances in tcode FS10n. From here, you will know If it is posted in GL or not.

FB03 is u can check with by giving accounting document number.

hi,

a BAPI needs a COMMIT WORK to process the data.

I dont think all BAPI's do need a commit work. Some BAPI's are auto commit. Correct me If I am wrong.

Hi All,

I am not calling the BAPI in any of my report ,instead i am executing the bapi in se37 transaction.how can i use the commit work while executing in se37?

After u enter the BAPI in display mode..In menu, Under Function Module, Select Test Sequences..give this BAPI and BAPI_TRNSACTION_COMMIT. And then execute it one by one.

Hi,

Thanks Gordon/Vishwa for your quick response & solving my problem.

As suggested by Gordon,bapi_acc_gl_posting_post does not work independently.Needs a commit work.

While executing in se37,Select Test Sequences..give this BAPI and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT. And then execute it one by one.(as suggested by VIshwa).

if we are using the bapi in a report,then a commit work is required .
