Hi Abapers,

whats the Modify dropdown box and convert exit (in Dict tab) in input/output field attribute screen of module pool programming?

Hi,

Its regarding conversion exit in data dictionary fields. Conversion exits take care of converting user eneterd values on the input where ever the field of the data base table ( with conversion exit ) is refered to into internal format.

There is a conversion exit MATN1 which will conver the materialnumber entered into internal format, say user enetered material number

100, MATN1 will by default assign leading zeros to the material number entered by the user,
