Hi Gurus,

i tried uploading data from excel sheet for trancation using SCAT.. but how do i do tat for Function Module case.. I followed the same procedure as of Transaction one.. but i do know how to create Parameters for Function module case.. Please help me

Hello,

You can create Test configuration or Test data container for the script in which the function module exists and upload the excel file through the test configuration or Test data container.

In SCAT, there is no concepts of test configuration and test data container. In your message, it is not quite clear to me whether parameterization has been done and whether import parameters have been defined. Only after definition of import parameters can one have a chance to have some data uploaded. The best is you first download the data then open it in Excel, maintain your data, then still save it back to the original downloaded file. After that you can run your CATT by using the external data. The file should be in TXT format. I do not think XLS can be accepted by CATT tool.

Moreover, CATT tool is a very old-fashioned automation tool in SAP system. On which basis release are you working now? Starting from basis 620, it has been already possible to use eCATT (Extended Computer Aided Tool). The transaction is SECATT. It provides much more very useful functionalities then the old CATT tool. Hence I would strongly suggest eCATT tool could be used.
