Hi Florian,

I was using Mars as it was recommended to me.

I've just tried Neon and it's actually a lot better and faster. I'll stick with Neon.

thanks for the quick response.

Hi,

I have installed Eclipse Mars for Mac, i usually connect to SAP using the Java client on my Mac and we use a SAP Router to connect to our SAP systems over the internet.

While the performance of the Java client is actually pretty good, i.e. I can connect to SAP and it works well, the performance of Eclipse is pretty bad.

Is anyone else using Eclipse for Mac? How do you find it?

Should I just use Windows rather?

Hi Neil,

I use eclipse for mac and also for windows. I'm pretty happy with both installations. Can you explain a bit more in detail what is slow. The connection to the backend seem to be the bottleneck, because the eclipse-installation runs on mac pretty fast.

One question to you, why don't you use the neon-release? (That should not be the problem, just wondering)

~Florian
