Hi Guys,

I have been using BAPI_BATCH_CHANGE for updating Next Inspection date through Follow up Action from Tr. QA11.

It works fine.

But while giving the Classification Details thru Tr. QA32->Results.

Enter values for some values for Results Tab. While saving, it comes back to QA32 display Screen.

From there selecting Usage Decision(UD), giving value "P" for field and saving, the follow-up action FM will be called, where I Used BAPI_BATCH_CHANGE.

Once, this has been executed, Details are not updated as in the Classification Tab in Tr. MSC3N.

Please, clarify whether I have to pass Char 'X' for the fields DOCLASSIFY, CALLCFC_CL in the structure BAPIBATCHCTRL for updating the Classification field values.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Anbu

Hi,

Oh are you trying to update characteristic values for a batch? If so, where are you getting these values from?

Also, BAPI_BATCH_CHANGE does not accept any of these char. values. So how are you passing these to this fm?

Actually you have to code for it in a customer function that has been provided for this purpose, EXIT_SAPLV01Z_014.

And then mark CALLCFC_CL = 'X' so that this customer function is processed.

Remember you have to fill the char. values on your own, in the customer function EXIT_SAPLV01Z_014 you will get

all the characteristics available for classificatin for a batch.

Hope this helps..

Sri

Hi Sri,

Thanks for the Help.

Values for table QAVE and QALS are passed to the FM where BAPI_BATCH_CHANGE has been called for the Next Inspection Date.

Characterstics Values are not passed to this Fn Module.

Please, could I know the Exit Name/Package in which you looked for EXIT_SAPLV01Z_014, since I am unable to goto the screen, bcz all test datas are over. I have requested Test data for further testing from the client.

Can you clarify,

a) Whether the Fields DOCLASSIFY and CALLCFC_CL have to be 'X' in the BAPI.

b) Whether the Characterstics data entered through Tr QA32->Results can't be passed automatically. If we fill the values of our own in the Exit, it will be hardcoded, so Values can't be changed for other Batch No.s.

I have to test with the inform you have provided and get back with the results.

Thanks a lot for the Help.

Regards,

Anbu

I have requested Test data for further testing from the client.

<b>Enhancement name is SAPLV1ZN.</b>

Can you clarify,

a) Whether the Fields DOCLASSIFY and CALLCFC_CL have to be 'X' in the BAPI.

<b>Yes</b>

b) Whether the Characterstics data entered through Tr QA32->Results can't be passed automatically. If we fill the values of our own in the Exit, it will be hardcoded, so Values can't be changed for other Batch No.s.

<b>Firstly, I do not know whether the data can be passed on automatically. But I think you can avoid hardcoding if you follow the following steps (may be not entirely but partly for sure).

You can use CLFM_SELECT_AUSP fm to read classification data from QA32 (You have to find the Class Type from TCLA and Object key (from QA32) where as MAFID will be 'O').

And then use this data to fill for Batch Classification data. Once you look at the data you should be able to map what you want to update (Characteristics may be same for both).

By the way, Class Type is 005 for Inspection Characteristics and 022 for Batch.</b>

Sri

But when I put a break point at the user exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_014. It is not stopping there.

The process I did is QA32->Date & Insp Lot Origin(015) then displays the inspection lots and select one and click on results button. when enter the results

like brix value and color and click select all and evaluate button.

then I click for batch display. the user exit is not stopping any where.

Can u let me know where it stops.

regards,

chaithanya.
