F1 Technical Information

Hi All,

When I press F1 help on any filed on a screen and click on technical information Field Data tab is displayed.

But in field data suppose the field is coming from a structure, the description under field data is shown as

Table Name instead of Structure.

I am currently on ECC6.0 and using sapgui 710 patch level 0.

In sap version 4.7 I was not facing this problem?

I think it should not happen.

Anyways can you tell me on which screen of transaction you aref acing this issue as i have both 4.7 and ECC 6.

Its not your system's problem..

in all SAP version its displays like this..

so no need to worry about it...

Iam not sure of 4.7 version, but in ECC 6.0 it is configured in this way only that it will show "table name" for all fields in F1.

Hi,

This is happening in all screens.

For example. in MM03 press f1 on material number . Then click on Technical Information. A dialog box appears showing field data . There it shows Table Name as RMMG1 whereas RMMG1 is a structure.

In sap version 4.7 it shows as structure. Can you check in your system and let me know ??

Hi vinod,

As other said it is not a error or a bug, its just a standard SAP is following to display F1 help for all table fields. So you need not to worry, to know whether its a structure or table you need to double click on the table name to go to data dictionary where you can know.

It depends for that field from whether structure or table it is refrenced.

as in MM03 material is refrenced from RMMG1 structure so its showing as structure in technical information.

The same case is in our system also its showing RMMG1
