I want to create some report using standard classes. I know how to create ALV report. Can someone give me any idea or a task to work on a report or anything using standard classes. I will learn easily if i have some task on hand.

Give me some task and give me some standard classes so that i can work on them.

Thanks.

<Subject edited.

Hi Ibrahim ,

This is a simple task try it out

Display purchase order details in the basic list of ALV grid on click of a button in toolbar, display details in secondary list on selection of particular record in basic list.

For handling the button create events in ur program using local class. syntax is

Statement used to declare the instance method meth as an event handler.

METHODS meth ABSTRACT FOR EVENT evt OF {class|intf} [IMPORTING p1 p2 ... ].

Event handlers are special methods that are declared with the addition FOR EVENT ... OF to the METHODS statement. Instead of calling them directly with CALL METHOD, they can also be called indirectly with RAISE EVENT. They can only be executed if an event handler exists with SET HANDLER.

RAISE EVENT

        RAISE EVENT evt .

SET HANDLER - FOR

       SET HANDLER handler1 handler2 ... FOR { oref |{ALL INSTANCES} } [ACTIVATION act].

classes required,

     cl_gui_custom_container

     cl_gui_alv_grid

cl_gui_custom_container:This control hosts other controls in a logical collection and provides a physical area for displaying them.

You can display logo on your screen using the custom control function. A custom control is an area on the screen, created using the screen painter. To link a custom control to a container control, pass the custom control name to the CONTAINER_NAME parameter of the container control constructor when you instantiate it.

   Eg: container EXPORTING container_name = u2018CONTAINER'

cl_gui_alv_grid:

1. CONSTRUCTOR : Generate an instance of the ALV Grid Control. This method is called automatically if you use CREATE OBJECT to create an object of class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID .

When the control is generated, it is created on the frontend and linked to a container control.

2. set_table_for_first_display : Display an output table in the control. Display an output table in the ALV Grid Control instance. In the call sequence, you must specify either a reference structure of the Data Dictionary or a suitable field catalog. Before execution, you can use optional parameters to load a layout, sort the table by fields, set a filter for columns and define properties of the grid control.

3. REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY : Refresh the data displayed in the control .You use this method to refresh the output table in the grid control. This is necessary if you change the display of the data by means of methods (for example, using set_frontend_layout), or if you want to display new data selected in the same ALV Grid Control.

Regards,

Vijetha.
