user-exit on variant

Hi experts,

I am looking for a user-exit which can be triggered while saving the variant data from a query selection-screen.

The need is to make sure that the information on the variant is correct when scheduled to run in the background.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Isn't there any exit out there. I am trying to debug but haven't found anything yet.

Cany anyone find something for me.

Hi,

There is no user exit in picture when you save variant on selection screen. I just confirmed it.

But why don't you do one thing.

Write one another code and pass variant value to it using submit and check the value of variant in other program. It won't eat up resource as well.

Let me know for any clarification.

Thanks for your response Kartavya.

Where would you like me to submit this code from.. The query report? If so, I can't do that...because this check on the variant data will be true for all the queries ( we can't amend it for all of them), and these queries will be run in the background.

Can you think of any other workaround
