Problem with SM30

Hi ,

I had a problem in creating the mantanence view.First of all i will explaing the problem.

I had a ztable ,for that i have created the maintanence view using the utilities->table maintanence generator.

But user is asking for in the SM30 they dont want all the field which is existing in the table.Even though if all fields came they want only one filed in the editable mode,all other should be in the disply mode.

So how we can make only one field in to editable mode in the SM30.

For this i am trying to create Prjection view,but projection view is not allowing me in the SM30 to maintain.

Please let me know the possiblities to edit only one field in SM30.

open the function group of the table in se80 and made changes in screen like module pool.

Hi Mohan,

Don't make it too complicated. It is very simple.

Just open ur table in SE11. Menu=>Utilities=>Table maintenance generator. Get the function group name.

Open this function group in SE80. Double click on the screen.

Open the screen layout. Here u can see the table control like screen. Now go in change mode in the layout. Double click on the fields u want to input disable in SM30. One popup will come. Here check the check box output only. This has to be done for each field that u don't want to edit in SM30. Now activate ur function group and check in Sm30. These fields will come in input disabled mode.

Get back in case of any problems.

You can remove some columns which you don't want in the display using the Function Group which you mentioned in the Table manitenace creation. Go to The function group and Find the screen which you mentioned in the Single scree. and Go to change mode and remove the columns from table control and if you want to make some column editable and rest display mode ,Change the attributes of the columns accordingly.

Once you finish the changes Activate and test it.

Caution:- If at all you want to change any thing in the table and you need to Regenerate the Table maintenance. That time , you will loose all these changes , So carefull when you are changing the table maintenance , take backup and generate.

Hi Vnod thanks for your reply, yes i got it now .But one more thing i just want to ask you.

User is asking for the transaction code for that perticular view, but i have created one in se93.But they are asking the transaction code with perticular selection screen.In the selection screen tehy need three to four fields.How we need to crate T-code with Selection screen.

After values has entered in to the selection screen then it should go into sm30 to maintain those values.

Can you please help in this.

Hi Mohan,

This solution might look bit difficult. But u can try it.

Develop a BDC program for SM30. In the initial screen Give ur table view name and u can see 3 radio buttons. Here select the Enter conditions radio button and click on maintain. U can see the check boxes for each field. Select these check boxes based on ur selection screen input. i.e If they enter any value in particular field then select that check box and click enter.

Here u can see the input fields for entering the values. Fill these values and click on enter. It takes u to the maintenance screen.

With the above procedure u have to do recording and use below statement after populating BDCdata table.

But again if have select options as input then ur job becomes still more tough because we can have many ranges, single values, exclusions etc.

CALL TRANSACTION 'SM30' USING i_bdcdata MODE 'E'.

After successful creation of this program u can create tcode for this in SE93 .
