Standard Objects changed in SAP upgrade

Is there any kind of database available that describes what standard components (like tables, includes, FMs, programs etc) have changed in the new release.

For e.g. I am upgrading my system from 4.6C to ECC6, and table XYZ has changed in the new release, I need to fix Z program using table XYZ.

Is any such data available?

Hi Jaydeep,

Welcome to SDN.

There is a transaction where in which you can see the Changed object of Dictionary and that is SPDD and

for other objects like standard programs and other which are not related those can be seen through SPAU.

There are the main transactions during SAP UPGRADE..

For function modules related there is a Table which stores the obsolete and Reworked function modules..

RODIR and for changed tcodes the table is PRGN_CORR2.

Thanks for the inputs but I think there's small confusion. SPDD & SPAU will give be changed objects during upgrade only if they are modified by customer.

Let me try to clarify my question. I am trying to find out all the standard SAP objects that have undergone some change from old release to new.

For e.g. some table in 4.7 had 25 fields and in ECC5 (next release) SAP added 2 more fields.

Now this table may not be modified by customer, hence the change would be transparent to customer. This won't be stuck up in SPDD either during upgrade.

Same for ay standard program / include / function module.

Hope I am clear in explaining my requirement.

Hi Jaydeep,

Try TODIR table and for Fragment field select the desired one..

And also try SMODILOG

and check the modification assistant.. SE95 tcode..

To know about classes the VIEW is VSEOCLASS.

I have the same question that you had raised in 2008 about the Std objects changed in SAP upgrade. Just wanted to know from you , if you have found the answer for it. Even I have been searching hard to find the answser, but couldnt find it. Please help me if you got the answer.
