In a custom screen there are two fields 'Begin Date' and 'End Date'. Both these are 'Required' fields, they cannot be initial.

'End Date' needs to be defaulted with value entered in 'Begin Date', but user could change it to something else (not blank).

The program idea was to set the field attributes of both fields to 'Required', and then set the default value for 'End Date' with 'Begin Date' in the PAI.

But this does not work the desired way, as the field attribute check kicks off before the PAI. So, before the default for 'End Date' gets set, the 'Fill in Required Entry' error is received.

Any easy way of doing it?

Thank you,

Fred.

Any easy way of doing it?

it can be done in otherway..

Dont mark that as Required. you can do that using flow logic validations check the field values if the fields are initial then you give the message , and accordingly you can code the loigc.

Regards

Vijay Babu Dudla

Hi Fred,

You can do it another way also.

Instead of defaulting it after field attribute, write defaulting module Before field attribute and after words you can write field attribute.

hope this will help you.
