end to end implementation scenario

this is an end to end business scenario for implementation.

there is a firm named xi infotech which wants to have an automated sys. for conferance room booking.

it has 5 locations and each location has got 3 conference rooms.

now from where to start?

i have to maintain master data and transaction data. also to create db tables for it.

the conference room has to be prebooked for meeting and other person bookin should know details about it.

Hi,

Master Data :

Create Tables for following :

1. Number of Locations

2. Number of rooms at each location..room nos.

*Transaction Data:

1. Date & Time of booking, User who had booked, location, room no.

Create tables & create programs for the same.

i have created those two tables and what next?

for what i have to make prog for?

tell me steps ex. make a form for booking a room.

can u give me a coding for it for booking of one room at one location ?

1. Create a screen where user can enter the details viz date, time, location for conference.

Once he clicks on Submit, check whether any room is available for given period, if yes update the database table with start time, end time, date etc details against the room no.

If not available, then raise an error message or show the available slots.

You will have to set a flag against the room once the conf. is booked.

Consider scenario of cancelling the conf. room or postponing the time. So there would be 3 to 4 screens.

1. Book room

2. Cancel room

3. Postpone time
