Why call transaction can not be used in background process?

When commit and rollback statement is used in abap programming ? pls explain me in detail.suppose If I am using insert statement what's the use of commit statement after it? will there be any datastorage in between insert statement and commit statement while creating data in the database

Hi,

Ususally CALL TRANSACTION deals with screen interaction. If it's mode is SET to 'A'' then we can process it in foreground mode.

'N' is for NO SCREEN mode, which is a background processing.

We can run it in 'N' mode but ensure that there are no errors, Beacuse we cant handle errors when occured in 'N' mode.

COMMIT is used to save the changes to the database and

ROLLBACK is to undo any changes.

After the "INSERT' we can use the commit in order to save the changes to the database and to have this new entry being isnerted into the database table. Here internally the changes will be refletd in both SAP tables and underlying database tables.
