If as a functional consultant we have any requirement with Technical people, how can inform them, functional terminology they may not understand how we can write in their terminology?

Hi Vijay ,

I believe functional specifications match to the technical specifications .What you need to do in your functional specifications is explain in detail the business process and the delta for which the development is being done . Then in the technical specs while givening the technical details for the development , map it well to the functional specs and I guess the techin cal guy would understand what you are talking about . The glossary part of the functional specs should be well maintained and in detail so that he get's hold of the terminology used .

Hi Vijay,

Technical consultants mainly understand tables, fileds, structures etc., where the data is stored or where the data needs to be created, so in case if we want any existing data to be fetched & added as an additonal entry in the Z_report, then we need to define the Table, fields in the Functional specification sheet & need to take a screen shot of the report (with the report Table details) indicating where that addl. data needs to be added.

funcational people jobs.

he can do only basic desizn.

exanple:

he give only table name. selecion field and o/p screeni/p screen

technical people.

detail desizn:

codeing , to under standard the final result.flow char of the program.
