How copy Chinese text into Bex Queries?

We have an Excel spreadsheet with English texts, and their Chinese translation. We've queries that will only be used by a Chinese audience. All we want to do is copy the Chinese translation (using Ctrl-v) from the Excel spreadsheet, into the popup where we can change the title of the Query.

But when we do this, all the beautiful characters get turned in ?????????. I can't tell if it's an Excell issue, and XP issue, or a Bex Query issue. Do we need some special software, or is it a matter of configuring one of the three components. Our XP installation is already set up to handle Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I DONT THINK THAT CAN BE RESOLVED 。

WHY DONT YOU USE THE TECHNICAL NAME OF HIS QUERY ？

Hello Matt,

I can copy Chinese text to the query title without turning to ???. I'm with English version of Windows XP, Excel 2007 and Bex 3.5.

However, after saving, the Chinese text also turn to '???'.

My SAP BI doesn't have chinese language installed. For your reference.
