We just had an SAP consultant install CC & Firefighter 5.2 on our system. We were previously running CC & FF 4.0. When we migrated our rules from 4.0 into 5.2 we received some errors that need fixed. I don't know where to find the tables referred to in the error and I'm hoping someone can help.

The error reads:

Error in Table Data ==>VIRSA_CC_DETDESC

SQL:==>Insert into VIRSA_CC_DETDESC(OBJECT_TYPE,OBJECT_ID,LANG,DETAIL_DESCN) Values(????)

Record==>D VIRSA_CC_DETDESC MIT BNI001 EN Winrunner

I'm understanding that to mean there is a table called VIRSA_CC_DETDESC that needs the code modified, but I don't know where to find this table.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sandy

Dear Sandy,

Go to transaction SE11 -> enter VIRSA_CC_DETDESC and choose database table radio button -> choose display.

It appears that there is some problem with table (table does not exist, or incorrect primary key) or data already exists with the combination of primary key. Hence, it is giving error in inserting record into table with SQL.

Regards,

Naveen.

One main drawback of CC is that the error message is very un-user-friendly and it takes real analysis and experience to know what is wrong.

Whether it is an online error or errors due to download, the message are most of the times unfriendly and i do hope they can solve it soon..

For example, when u do not assign an rule set to a risk, the error is something like 'no relevant language for blah blah blah' ... ...

I agree - the error messages are very unfriendly.

We have determined that the rules file exported out of our 4.0 version of compliance calibrator is not in the correct format to import into 5.2.

We are able to import parts of the file, but where rows are greater than 80 characters they seem to error out.

Is there documentation showing the layout of the different tables so that we can modify the file we are importing? If we don’t need to do this – how can we fix so that we can import the whole file?

Thanks,

Sandy

Thank you, but I'm still confused about one thing, and it's probably a stupid question. But, our 5.2 installation was performed by an SAP consultant so I know very little about how that process worked. We installed in our Sandbox.

We are trying to import our ruleset from CC 4.0 into CC5.2. An example of some of the data we exported is below

SB2

D          VIRSA_CC_CRACT        AARC   FIAC     1          0          SB2

I think this is table virsa_cc_cract but I can’t find this table anywhere (on my old system or the 5.2 system) The error I am getting when I import into CC 5.2 is blank (it is a blank error and the row is blank). It is like there is a blank row in the table but I don’t see it. I even went so far as to only have the 2 rows above as the only input and I got the same error. Any ideas???

Please refer to note 986996 for general information regarding the delivered rule set.

Upgrade customers that already have rules built in previous versions of Compliance Calibrator should not load these rules. Loading these rules will overwrite any customization of the ruleset previously done by the customer.

The SOD Risk Summary documents describe the Segregation of Duty risks which are delivered in the rule text load files.

SOD Action and Permission level rules are provided for R/3, APO, ECCS, CRM and SRM. HR and Basis rules are included in the R/3 but also broken out separately.

Please Note: Rules are system specific. Only upload rules for systems which have been previously connected. If a CRM system is to be analyzed for SODs and critical access but is not yet connected to CC 5.2, wait until the connector has been created before loading the CRM rules then load them for the CRM system ID. If you wish to monitor BW for basis activities, wait until the connector is created then upload the Basis rules for that BW System.

Specific instructions on how to upload all of the files can be found in the Compliance Calibrator 5.2 User Guide which is accessible via the SAP Service Marketplace under Release & Upgrade Info/Additional Solutions/SAP Solutions for GRC/SAP GRC Access Controls/Release 5.2.

Also, OSS Note <a href="https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=0000986996&nlang=E">986996</a> Best Practice for SAP CC Rules and Risks.

Regards,

Naveen.

Dear Sandy,

as you have already imagined, the Grc tables from version 4.0 to version 5.1, and of course 5.2, have changed names and, in some cases, also field. So you have to follow some specific steps to make the correct upload of the rules from 4.0 to 5.2.

These steps are specified in the Access Control 5.2 Product migration document.

You'll find it in the SMP, otherwise I'll send you by email.

Best regards

Emilio
