Cut over strategy

Hi All,

Recently I had an interview for SAP FICO Consultant position & was asked 1 question. It was "What was the functionality you used during the "Cut over strategy". I answered him about the complete process through LSMW. But, he was not ready to listen & he wanted to know the "Functionality" I used during Cut over strategy. I am really confused about the word "Functionality".

Can anyone please answer this question so that it will be easy for others to get the knowledge.

Hi Manas

Its not the LSMW tool how you load the data. In cut over strategy the user id will be locked in the legacy system to avoid any transaction to be performed. When the last transaction should be happened and when should the extraction of transactional data like sales order, purchase order, Stock and open items like customer, vendor and G/L should start. What is the time frame to migrate all the transactional data on hourly basis and finally the reconciliation how it will be done Trial Balance(TB) matching should be done. All these activities to be mentioned in strategy.
