Export/import buffer hitratio is more than 93% and swaps &amp;gt; 6,284,033.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Export/import&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 94.86&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 20,000&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 13,399&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 69.56&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 2,000&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 2&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 0.10&amp;nbsp; 6,284,033&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG style="color: #1f497d; font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif';"&gt;rsdb/obj/buffersize &lt;/STRONG&gt;is already set to 20MB(due to some other req.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;so should i increase this parameter or any other suggestions you guys have ??&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The statistics in your post show that the directory of the buffer (and not the buffer itself) has filled up. As a general rule of thumb the directory number of entries in the exp/imp buffer should be set to 30-40% of the buffer size. The current value of 2000 is the default, so I assume the buffer was enlarged without also adapting the directory size.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In your case I would recommend following setting:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;rsdb/obj/max_objects = 7000&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is important to monitor the export/import buffer closely because in my experience an overflow of this buffer or its directory leads to an explosive increase in the number of swaps.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mark&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
