Failed to post data to database:sgData

Hi gurús,

I was working at an input, and I tried to send specific data to validate before changing the work estatus. The problem we face is the following:

No data send and this general error coming up:

"Failed to save data"

Framework message:

Failed to post data to database: sgData

Does anybody experience the same error? is it a problem of the database? I cheked the function set at the report for sending data and it seems to be rigth.

Hi Telefonica,

First of all, I would request you to post the query to the concerned forum based on the version of BPC (MS or NW).

Secondly, I dont see which version are you working on.

Hi,

I guess you're using MS version of BPC.

If so check that all your sgData and sgQueue tables are empty, if not delete all the records inside.

Make also visible the EVDRE_DATACACHE and delete this sheet, so that BPC will create a new sheet after the first expand.

Hello everyone,

We are using MS version of BPC

We look at the sgData0Treasury and the sgQueue tables and clear them out. Once all of those tables were cleared of data we went to Services on the application server and stop/start the BPC SendGovernor service. Once that is done we tried sending data again.

After all, there was no success, We still get the same error: Failed to post data to database:sgData

so we check the database, we find new records on both sgdata0 and sgdata1 tables. These records are related to a Lock, but when we check the lock table, is empty.

These records aparently are related to an unexisting lock.

We have tried to clear sgdata tables, as well as lock

and sgqueue. Afterthis cleaning we restarted SendGovernor service on all

frontend servers and we tried again, but without success.

The data

load works well with other forms. We suspect that maybe the

problem could be related to some error with a dimension or entity. Is this data corrupted? What does the unlock unexsist lock? why is not finding this lock?

Hi,

if this happens on a specific report have you tried to delete the EVDRE_DATACACHE of this report as written above?

If you think that xml file is corrupted then please copy and paste the xml file that is corrupted in another folder and after from the Admin console process full all the dimensions, BPC should recreate the corrupted xml file.

For the xls file you can simply select the corrupted dimension on the left side of admin client and then use "export dimension" task.
