Transporting Transformation File/Conversion File Failed - BPC 10

Hello,

I had recently done a BPC transport from DB1 to QB1 (development to quality assurance) and did an entire BPC environment. This worked 100 percent effectively and I had no issues.

We then made some new transformation files and conversion files in development and when we transported again they did not transport over to QA. Not sure why this happened, I went back and noticed I had all check boxes checked off, thus this was a full load again (nothing should have been left behind).

The transport did not have any errors either. Any thoughts?

Hi Ryan,

Let me try to re-iterate your query.

The first transport was successful. Then, you added some more transformation and conversion files in the DEV system. You transported these files, but these are not imported in QA. Is this what you meant?

Hi Ryan,

If these files are not properly imported in the QA system, then probably, the files were not properly collected in the request. You can try collecting these transformation and conversion files once again.

Alternatively, you can also open these files in DEV and save them directly in QA.

Yes that is what we did, just did a copy and paste since it is much simpler to do. However, I was just curious to why this happened. As I said above, everything was collected, so I do not believe that was the issue.

Hi Ryan,

Sometimes, its very difficult to find the exact error in the systems. But as per my understanding, there was definitely some problem in the collection of the objects.

Once you collect all the objects in a request, in SE10, you can see the list of these objects. Internally, it creates a table as well. You can write a custom code to fetch the details from this table and see whether all the necessary objects were collected or not.
