What is SAP Universal ID?
SAP Universal ID provides a unified account across SAP sites that links ALL your existing company associations (S/P-user IDs) and allows you to switch between them as needed.
In a few months, SAP Community will switch to SAP Universal ID as the only option to login to the site. You will no longer have access to your S/P-user account(s) and associated content and badges.
What are the benefits of SAP Universal ID for SAP Community members?
SAP Universal ID will significantly simplify the login experience and provide a single, life-long access point to SAP portals.
With SAP Universal ID, you can
- Take control of your experience: Own and manage your personal SAP identity.
- Keep your account for life: Use it wherever you go, regardless of where you work.
- Use one login for all of your accounts: Manage one account and password by linking all your existing company accounts (S/P-user IDs) in one universal account.
What happens if I don’t create an SAP Universal ID?
If you have more than one account, you can use the Consolidation Tool to bring all your content, reputation, activity, people, and subscriptions together under your SAP Universal ID.
When did SAP Universal ID become available to SAP Community members?
The first phase began on May 3, 2021, when SAP Community enabled an SAP Universal ID login option (also known as Conditional SAP Universal ID).
The Conditional SAP Universal ID login option allowed community members to generate an SAP Universal ID account and link other accounts to it. During this phase, members had the option to use their S/P-user ID(s) or their SAP Universal ID credentials to log in.
In a few months, SAP Universal ID will be the only option to log in to the community. If you have more than one account, create your SAP Universal ID and use the Consolidation Tool to bring all your content, reputation, activity, people, and subscriptions together under your SAP Universal ID.
I have several SAP accounts, can I merge them?
Yes, as part of the SAP Universal ID creation flow, you will be able to link all your accounts. You will also be able to use the Consolidation Tool to bring all your content, reputation, activity, people, and subscriptions together under your SAP Universal ID.
I don’t remember the credentials of my inactive accounts, what can I do?
Reach out to the SAP Community Support Team via our support page and provide them with the links of the profiles or IDs that you don’t currently have access to. They will ask you for some information to verify the ownership of your account(s) and guide you through the next steps.
